Allan Ray Update

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Allan Ray, the outstanding 6-1 combination guard from St. Raymond's H.S. in the Bronx, N.Y., is hoping to return to action soon for Gary DeCesare's Ravens program.
"He had surgery," DeCesare said. "He broke his fifth metatarsal [foot bone]. They put a screw in there and it's just a matter of waiting."

DeCesare hedged when asked about a timetable for Ray's return, but he said a visit to the doctor this Wednesday might shed some light on that matter.
"We are just waiting for what the doctor says," DeCesare said. "He has been doing some bicycling now, so it's just a matter of rehabbing it. He should be back in a couple of weeks."
Even without the Villanova bound Ray on Saturday night, the Ravens were able to emerge with a 69-59 victory over Peekskill H.S. at the Slam Dunk Challenge. With Ray back in the lineup, the Ravens will once again be one of the top programs in the rugged CHSAA ranks this winter.
The Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com will keep you posted on Ray's status and recovery in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to this site for more details in the weeks to come.
