Allan Ray Leads Ravens To 2 Wins

BRONX, NEW YORK -- Allan Ray continues to make his case that he is one of the best players in the class of 2002. During two games played today at Rose Hill Gym on the campus of Fordham University, Ray led the New York Ravens to pool victories in the Rumble in the Bronx.
Ray, who will play again this season for St. Raymond's and head coach Gary DeCesare, scored 25 points in the nightcap to lead the Ravens to a 93-81 victory over a tough Bray Center AAU program.

The Ravens took a 46-29 lead. Ray scored 15 points in the half. Ray also had plenty of support. Francisco Garcia was rock solid defensively too. He had six blocks in the game and also added 12 points.
Don McGrath was also solid all day. In the second game, he helped the Ravens to victory. He scored 14 points.
In the afternoon contest, Ray scored 23 points and Curtis Stinson added 16 points, to lead the Ravens to a 73-53 victory over St. Michael's of New Jersey.
St. Ray's built up a 14-point lead and were never really challenged in the second half. McGrath had 12 points and Garcia had 10 points, including a thundering dunk to cap the win off for the Ravens.
For St. Michael's, Paul Williams led his team with 18 points.
The Ravens advanced to the quarterfinals (scheduled for Sunday morning).
