Alexander looking to expand his game

More often than not, the No. 4 player in the class of 2014, Cliff Alexander, is one of the toughest guys in any gym.
In Las Vegas for Nike's LeBron James Skills Academy, Alexander is surrounded by plenty of tough players.

He's still one of the baddest dudes on the block, but the 6-foot-9 power forward from Chicago (Ill.) Curie is also looking to show off his expanded game.
"My jummp shot has been big," Alexander said when asked where he's improved the most. "I've been working on my consistency with the jump shot and knocking that shot down. If you are going to play the four that's what you have to do."
One of the most sought-after recruits, Alexander recently chopped his list 10, which includes Arizona, Baylor, DePaul, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville,Michigan State and Memphis.
In hopes of moving along the process, Alexander has started to select the schools he'll visit officially.
"I'm going to a visit to Kansas on Oct. 4," said Alexaner. "Then I'm taking official visits to Louisville, Memphis and Arizona. I don't know yet on the others; I might take an unofficial to Illinois, I'm not sure."
After the summer, Alexander will take a step back and decide if he needs to cut his school list again. As for a timeline for making his decision, he doesn't have one. But he does have a list of must-haves.
"A great connection with the coaching staff and that they will develop me like they've been telling me they will."
