Alexander Kaun Schedules Official Visits

Alexander 'Sasha' Kaun, a 6-foot-11, 245-pound center from Florida Air Academy in Melbourne, FL., has scheduled his first two official visits of the year. Kaun will visit Kansas and Michigan State during the first two weekends of September. He is in the process of scheduling a visit to Duke, but no date has been decided as of yet.
“Alexander has scheduled his visit to Kansas for the weekend of September 5th,” Florida Air Academy Head Coach Aubin Goporo said. “Kansas will be the first school that Alexander visit.

“He will officially visit Michigan State the following weekend, but nothing has been scheduled with Duke just yet," he added. "That’s something we’ve been working on, but we’re having trouble with the dates.”
Kaun spent a great deal of summer on the sideline with a foot injury, but that hasn’t stopped three of the nation’s most elite programs from showing a great deal of interest in the Florida big man.
“Alexander went to the doctor while I was out of town and was told that he didn’t need his crutches,” Goporo said. “I was a little surprised that the doctor didn’t get an x-ray of the injury. Alexander is still walk a little funny, which was a bit of a concern, but we spent a little time with the team trainer.
“The trainer said that this was normal and Alexander would be just fine,” he added. “He’s been putting a baseball under his foot and rolling it up and down on the floor. Alexander will be just fine.”
Rivals.com ranks Kaun No. 27 on the Rivals150 list and the fifth best center in the class of 2004.
