Alexander has strong season

2010 four-star prospect Daniel Alexander made a splash last summer with his athleticism and three-point shooting. This high school season Alexander went to work down low as well leading Dripping Springs (Texas) High School to a successful season while one Big 12 school closely tracked him.
"Our high school hasn't been to the playoffs in eight or 10 years, but we made it to the playoffs this year," said Alexander. "Personally, I had a good year. I improved my presence in the post. In addition to my three-point shooting, I took the ball down low a lot more and scored."

A 6-foot-8, 195-pound forward, Alexander noticed one school at a lot of his games this year.
"Texas A&M came to a lot of my games," he said. "They are the school that I'm hearing from the most. Texas also came to a game. I'm not focusing on any certain schools right now, though. I'm just waiting for the open period this summer, and then see what schools are serious about me."
Alexander, who averaged 25 points and 16 rebounds per game, will run with the Texas Ambassadors this summer.
He is the No. 29 ranked prospect in the class of 2010.
