Aldrich might visit UNC this summer

During his trip to the Jayhawk Invitational last month, Cole Aldrich received a phone call from Roy Williams. The North Carolina head coach offered Aldrich a scholarship, and wanted to let him know that he was one of the top priorities for the Tar Heel coaching staff. Aldrich, the No. 6 ranked player in the class of 2007, is thinking about taking an unofficial visit to North Carolina later on in the summer.
Several hours before Aldrich arrived in Lawrence for the Jayhawk Invitational, he was offered a scholarship offer from North Carolina, which came as somewhat of a surprise. Because the Tar Heels are expressing so much interest in Aldrich, he is thinking about taking unofficially visiting the campus later on in the summer.

"I might take an unofficial visit to North Carolina this summer," said Aldrich. "My AAU coach, dad and I have talked about going out to see the campus and play some golf. I am not sure if the visit will happen or not."
With the likes of North Carolina, Kansas, Michigan State, Minnesota, Arizona, Kentucky, Marquette, Wisconsin and others fighting it out for his services, Aldrich is looking forward to taking some official visits before making any decisions about his future.
Aldrich also made it perfectly clear that he does not intend to rush any decision when selecting a college. He plans to acquire as much information about each of the programs before taking the next step in his recruitment.
"I will probably take official visits to Kansas, North Carolina and Michigan State," said Aldrich "There is a chance that I might officially visit Minnesota, but I don't know yet. It is only a 30-minute drive from my house, so I might just spend a weekend up there unofficially. I might take an additional visit, so I do not think that I will use an official visit to Minnesota."
