Aldrich down to three

Cole Aldrich, the No. 9 ranked player in the class of 2007, has decided to take a step forward in his recruitment. The 6-foot-10, 235-pound power forward from Bloomington (MN) Jefferson High School has trimmed his list of schools and only three remain. Aldrich is also planning to visit one of the schools on his list during the weekend of Midnight Madness.
"Yes, I have trimmed my list of schools to three," said Aldrich. "Kansas, North Carolina and Minnesota are the finalists. When everybody started calling to try to get involved in my recruitment, things got pretty hectic around here. My family and I just thought that it would be best to cut my list of schools."

Aldrich indicated that he had his family would visit either Kansas or North Carolina during the weekend of Midnight Madness. A final decision about what school to visit has not been made, but do not be surprised if that elite big man ends up on the Kansas campus for another visit.
"We are going to visit either Kansas or North Carolina during Midnight Madness," said Aldrich. "It all depends on the money situation with my family, so we don't have a decision made yet. If the money is not there, we will be taking another unofficial visit to Kansas."
Aldrich had been receiving interest from the likes of Arizona, Kentucky, Marquette, Michigan State, Wisconsin and others.
Aldrich has scholarship offers from Kansas, North Carolina and Minnesota.
