Agudio Sharpens Focus

Antoine Agudio, a 6-2, 170-pound combo guard from Walt Whitman High School, in Huntington, New York, is expecting a big season. After all, his junior year was a rock solid one and he comes off scoring 17 points in an All Star game held last weekend at Hofstra. Agudio drained three three-pointers and showed great confidence in his shot. Like all streak shooters, Agudio needs to be more consistent in his jumper. But last weekend was encouraging.
Recently, Kent State dropped out after getting a commitment from Demetrius Johnson. Agudio is still hearing from Providence and Towson. He does not have any offers currently. However, if Agudio has a great senior year, he will have offers on the table this winter and next spring.

Antoine is a very capable three-point shooter with a fluid stroke. He is crafty off the dribble, and wields decent athleticism. Agudio's strength will need work. This is the area where he will have to add some muscle to his frame. This will allow him to not wear down and be more consistent at the end of the season. But Agudio can stroke it and can be an effective player on the division one level.
Could Agudio prep a year? It's possible. And a year to help him physically mature would increase his chances of being an impact player at the division one level.
