Agudio Impresses At Charlie Weber

Antoine Agudio had the college coaches talking during and after his Long Island Roadrunners 92-65 win over the New Jersey Wildcats Elite at last week's Triple S Harley Davidson Charlie Weber Invitational at West Virginia University.
Agudio, a 6-3, 185 point/combo guard from Walt Whitman High School in Huntington Station, NY, poured in 28 points, including four from behind the arc and a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line. RivalsHoops.com has seen Agudio a number of times in the last half-year. He continues to impress us with his intelligent overall floor game. While he isn't explosively quick, he uses his dribble to maneuver effectively around and past defenders. He's an especially effective once he penetrates the lane, because he knows how to drive, draw and dish to open teammates.

"I'm working on improving my defensive game this summer," Agudio said. He has an 80 average and will take the SAT for the first time this fall. "I'm going to major in sports management," said this impressive player who noted that the academic sitaution will be an important factor when he picks a college.
Agudio said he's being recruited by Kent State, Marist and Siena. Other schools that have been mentioned in connection with this talented young man include Rider, Quinnipiac, Hofstra, St. Peter's, Stony Brook, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, Seton Hall, St. Francis (PA) and Villanova. The list of schools is likely to grow as Agudio performs during this summer's evaluation period.
