Adkins Has Top 4

Akini Adkins, a 6-10, 195-pound power forward/center from Leon High School in Tallahassee, Florida, has a top list of four schools, according to his adoptive father and basketball coach, John Adkins.
"It looks right now like either Alabama, Florida State, LSU or Tennessee," said Adkins, who coaches the Tallahassee Wildcats. The Wildcats are down in Orlando, Florida to compete in the Super Showcase.

Alabama and Florida State appear to be the two top schools in the recruiting process, according to our sources.
Adkins said Cincinnati, Connecticut, North Carolina State, and Wake Forest were of prior interest but not completely out of the picture. "But the other four are probably the ones that he is thinking most about," Adkins told us.
Akini Akins averaged 15 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.1 rebounds per game during his junior season.
