A one time Duke commitment, Adams will now play the pivot for Georgetown.
Former Mississippi State assistant Robert Kirby was pivotal in convincing Adams, 6-foot-8, 260-pounds from Brandon (Miss.) High School, to leave the south and play in the Big East.
Adams, the No. 54 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, is the third Georgetown commitment in the 2011 class, joining fellow four-star big man Mikael Hopkins and three-star shooting guard Jabril Trawick.
