Adams ends his recruitment

The reigning national champions have added a second four-star prospect to their 2011 recruiting class with the commitment of Tyler Adams.
A 6-foot-8, 260-pound center from Brandon (Miss.) High School, Adams didn't see a need to wait for his scheduled visit to Duke in June before verbally pledging to the Blue Devils.

"The main thing was that I already knew where I wanted to go," Adams told Rivals.com. "I've been ready to get this recruiting over with, and it didn't make any sense for other schools to keep recruiting me. Now I can focus on my school work."
A physical presence in the paint, Adams will give Duke an element that it has been without in recent years.
"Coach K and Coach James told me that they don't have a pure post player who likes to bang like I do," he said. "I can give them a true back to the basket player who is physical. I think I'm going to fit in really well."
Adams, the No. 81 ranked prospect in the Rivals150, joins Michael Gbinije in the 2011 Duke recruiting class.
Adams averaged 18 points and 13 rebounds per game during his junior season.
