Adam Zahn Is Explosive Athlete

Adam Zahn, an athletic 6-7, 220 pound power forward from Redondo Union H.S. in Redondo Beach, Calif., is the younger brother of Arizona forward Andrew.
The Insiders Report has had the chance to catch Adam at a pair of events of the last two months -- this past weekend's NBA Players Association Camp in Washington D.C. and the Nike Memorial Day Classic in Bloomington, Ind.

Zahn has a strong frame and explosive athleticism, although he at times tends to play a bit too much facing or away from the basket. Although he seems to like the idea of playing the wing forward slot, his size, athleticism and skill level dictate that he should play on the low blocks at the next level.
Zahn said he has been offered scholarships thus far by Pepperdine and Southern California, and he also includes Kansas, Arizona, California, Loyola Marymount and St. Mary's (CA) on his preliminary list of schools.
Zahn averaged 17 points, nine rebounds and six blocks per game as a junior at Redondo Union. He said he has a 3.1 GPA and scored a 1020 on the SAT -- both marks that would make him a full qualifier under current NCAA guidelines.
Zahn has a busy summer on tap, including stops at the Nike All-American Camp and the Peach Jam with California Team Select. He is also slated to attend the Fairfax H.S. Tournament with his Redondo Union club in July.
