Adam Baumann Attracts D-1 Schools

Adam Baumann, a stocky 6-8, 230 pound power forward from Yavapai C.C. in Prescott, Ariz., has attracted a wide degree of Division I interest this fall.
Baumann, who had his moments at last week's ACCAC Jamboree in Scottsdale, Ariz., is being looked at this fall by Pacific, Portland State, Fullerton State, Northern Arizona and Central Connecticut State.

According to Yavapai Head Coach Dolph Carroll, bigger programs like Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Kansas State have also inquired about Baumann this fall.
Realistically, Baumann would be a better fit at a low-mid Division I level. At the Arizona Jamboree last week, he had quite a bit of trouble finishing around the basket, even having his shots blocked at times by shorter players.
On the plus side, Baumann has a good set of mitts and is willing to mix it up inside, but he is limited athletically and just not very explosive.
A true back to the basket power forward, Baumann averaged 15.5 points and 11 rebounds per contest. He attended Horizon H.S. in Scottsdale prior to enrolling at Yavapai last fall.
An excellent student, Baumann has already earned 66 hours and carries a 3.6 GPA in the classroom. As a freshman last year, he earned second team Region I honors.
Coach Carroll said he expects Baumann to sign late, and JUCO Junction/Rivalshoops.com will keep you abreast of any changes to his list throughout the coming months, so stay tuned!
