ACC team stings Holsey

Kammeon Holsey put an end to his recruitment on Sunday at the Nike Peach Jam. The 6-foot-7 forward announced his college decision and he's headed to the ACC.
Holsey, a Rivals150 prospect, gave a verbal commitment to Georgia Tech shortly after playing his third game at the prestigious Nike event.

"It's the ACC and I really like their style of play," Holsey said. "I felt like it was the best place for me because of the education aspect of it, too. If I don't play beyond college, I'm going to have a good education and I'm going to be able to get a good job later in my life."
Holsey joins wing Brian Oliver in the 2009 recruiting class for the Yellow Jackets. Holsey, a Rivals150 prospect like Oliver, gives Georgia Tech a versatile forward with a knack for passing and scoring in the paint. Holsey said he likes the vision that Paul Hewitt has for him.
"Coach told me that he sees me like Thaddeus Young, someone that can go inside and out and play the three and four spots," Holsey said. "I'm just ready to help them out."
Holsey also considered Clemson and Florida State.
