ACC School Tracking Lofton

Although still a little rusty after just coming out of football, Chris Lofton played an integral role in Mason County's 105 to 93 dismantling of Dudley (N.C.) High School in the Marshall Co. Hoopfest. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound combo guard scored 16 points and had seven assists and five rebounds in front of an ACC school that has just begun recruiting Lofton.
Assistant coach Larry Harris of North Carolina State sat on the front row watching Lofton and then waited outside the Mason Co. locker room after the game to express the Wolfpack’s interest in the sharp shooter to Mason Co. coach Kelly Wells.

As would be expected, Lofton, the No. 129 player in the Rivals150, has expanded his school list, since we last spoke with him.
“It is the same it has been- Notre Dame, Marquette, Oklahoma, Clemson, and now you can add North Carolina State,” said Lofton after his game. “I really like the ACC. They just now started recruiting me.”
Dudley High School, with three division one prospects in junior Kevin Swinton (Wake Forest commitment), junior Prince Bowden, and super sophomore William Graves, never had a chance against the running and gunning defending state champs.
“We can be real good this year, better than last year,” said Lofton.
