ACC school sweeps up Miller

After a weekend visit to Florida State, Ian Miller is the latest player from the class of 2010 to commit to a college. The Rivals150 guard from Charlotte (N.C.) United Faith will be a Seminole in college.
The 6-foot-1 combo guard made the trek to Tallahassee with his parents, Cheryl and Julian, and all parties involved enjoyed the time spent in the ACC town.

According to Jacoby Davis, a close friend to the family and AAU coach with the United Celtics, the academic side of things sold the entire family.
"They were all real close but mom and dad liked the graduation rate and he felt like he can play right away when he got there to Florida State so that got him," Davis said. "Cheryl called my wife when they were down there and she was raving about the graduation rates and tutors, everything. Cheryl loved it."
Miller, a top 80 prospect in the class of 2010, is the first junior to commit to Florida State. He also strongly considered Clemson, Kentucky, Charlotte and South Carolina. Assistant coach Cory Williams was the main recruiter in Miller's recruitment.
The Miller family has a long-standing relationship with Florida State head man Leonard Hamilton.
"They all know each other from when they were young, too. His dad, Julian, played together when they were young and Cheryl knew each other from way back when, too. They trust him," Davis said. "They trust Ian with them down there."
