ACC School Offers Forward

Mike Pilgrim, a 6-7, 210 pound power forward from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, was offered today by the University of Virginia (Charlottesville). Brewster head coach Jason Smith confirmed this news with us today that Pete Gillen extended the free offer. Pilgrim has seen his recruiting pick up extensively over the past month, especially since he arrived at Brewster. Smith is one of the best in the country in getting the word out about his players.
Pilgrim told RivalsHoops.com last night that he had a very good time this past weekend on his official visit to Boston College. "It was a good experience being my first visit," Pilgrim said. "They presented a strong foundation academically and athletically."

Pilgrim did not make a verbal commitment to the Eagles' staff. But it appears they made a good impression on Pilgrim both on the classroom side and regarding their basketball program. "They are good contenders
in my recruiting," Pilgrim added.
According to Pilgrim, he will take another trip. "I am taking a visit this weekend," Mike said. "I am visiting Seton Hall for their Midnight Madness. I am looking forward to meeting the players and coaches."
According to Brewster Academy head coach, Jason Smith, Pilgrim is thinking about adding a visit to Memphis.
Pilgrim also added Virginia to his visit list. Pilgrim will now visit Virginia the weekend of October 18th. Pilgrim is also considering visits to Purdue and Connecticut.
Last season at Purcell Marian, Pilgrim averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks per game. He enjoyed a productive summer for Mike Duncan's Cleveland Basketball Club program. A wiry, mobile and bouncy power forward, Pilgrim is a glass eater deluxe who plays the game with a great deal of enthusiasm.
