ACC Key Factor For Ingram

When deciding upon his verbal commitment to Wake Forest, Jeremy Ingram, a stocky 6-3, 193 pound combo guard from Kinston H.S. in Kinston, N.C., said playing in the ACC was a dream come true.
"It's a great conference and great competition," Ingram said. "I want to play against the best players in the country."

Ingram previously told the Insiders Report/Rivalshoops.com that he had interest in Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, N.C. State, Virginia Tech and East Carolina. "It came down to East Carolina and Wake Forest," Ingram said. "And I wanted to play in the ACC."
Last season at Kinston (where he played alongside Providence recruit Herbert Hill), Ingram averaged 18 points, six rebounds, nine assists and four steals per game.
Ingram said he has a 3.0 GPA and scored a 900 on the SAT, marks that would qualify him under initial freshman eligibility standards.
Ingram said he is finished for the summer as far as playing ball. "I go back to school in August," he said. "I have been working in the gym everyday, working on my ballhandling and lifting weights."
