ACC for Vinson
Three-star power forward prospect Terrance Vinson of Lowndes High School in Valdosta, Ga., did not visit Tulane this past weekend but instead made a verbal commitment. Vinson, 6-foot-9, 215 pounds will attend Virginia Tech.
“Terrance is really excited about playing in the ACC for Virginia Tech,” said Vinson’s AAU coach David Jones of the Jacksonville Lee Bulls. “He really has a good relationship with the coaches and liked the players.”

An athletic defender, Vinson has his best basketball ahead of him, according to Jones.
“I think he’ll do well at Virginia Tech,” said Jones. “He’s a big, athletic kid who can rebound and block shots. He’s best basketball is definitely ahead of him.”
Vinson turned down offers from Chattanooga, Tulane, and George Mason. Auburn was heavily involved with Vinson before backing off late in the process.
