Abraham Considering Seven

Dennard Abraham, a burly 6-8, 250 pound power forward/center from Notre Dame Academy in Middleburg, Va., has narrowed his focus to seven colleges this summer.
Abraham told Rivalshoops.com that his top five schools are La Salle, DePaul, Rhode Island, Youngstown State and Loyola (Ill.). Rounding out his seven are Colonial Athletic Association members Virginia Commonwealth and George Mason.

"I am going to make a fall decision," Abraham said on Sunday night. "Education and playing time will be the two biggest factors in my decision."
Abraham said that all seven of the colleges on his list have offered scholarships. He has pledged official visits to each of the top five schools on his list -- LaSalle, DePaul, Rhode Island, Youngstown and Loyola.
Because George Mason and VCU are a relatively short drive from his home in Baltimore and school in Virginia, Abraham said he is likely to pay unofficial visits to those two programs. He has already unofficially visited George Mason.
Abraham enjoyed a busy summer with the Baltimore Select program, including pit stops at tournaments in New York (Three Stripes), West Virginia (Weber Invitational) and Nevada (Big Time).
A barrel chested big man blessed with good size, strength and hands, Abraham could be effective at the college level as either a power forward or center. It's likely that a rigorous weight program and sound nutritional advice will help him to improve his conditioning at the Division I level.
Last season at Notre Dame, Abraham averaged 15 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks per game.
We will keep you posted on Abraham's recruiting process throughout the fall, so stay tuned.
