A Look Back At Parmers Season

It wasn't supposed to go down this way. With the score tied and time running out, upstart Bennett High School's Jeremy Richardson hit a running layup to dethrone NY state power Niagara High School and advance to the Far West Regional Final. It was the lone blemish on Niagara's 23-1 season, and it put an end to an otherwise successful campaign.
Throughout the season, we have been keeping tabs on Niagara's 6'7" power forward, Jeffrey Parmer. The loss was particularly tough on Parmer since Richardson's game winning shot was just out of his reach. However, now that the season has come to an end, he will look to the summer period, where he hopes to impress college recruiters.

Early players in Parmer's recruitment have been Connecticut, Oklahoma, Syracuse, Missouri and Providence. Connecticut has been the most aggressive. In fact, at the time of this interview, Parmer was enjoying Connecticut's first round NCAA victory.
Parmer expects more schools to enter the picture this summer. He anticipates taking his time in making a decision and would not be surprised to see the process drag into the Spring of his senior year.
Niagara was on the positive side of many blowouts this year, so we look forward to seeing how Parmer stacks up against top competition this summer. We'll keep you posted.
