A Look At Taylor Mokris

Taylor Mokris, a 6-5 shooting guard from Providence Country Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina, has already committed to William & Mary (last month).
As we mentioned before, we thought this was a very good pickup for William & Mary. We had a chance to watch Mokris play again this past weekend at the Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina Tournament of Champions.

Mokris was very impressive. He seems to be a player willing to take the shot when he has too no matter what the score. Mokris works hard all the time. He has no fear of getting into the lane and mixing it up with bigger bodies.
Mokris was the leading scorer in the city of Charlotte last year. To grab a player of this skill so early is a great accomplishment for the coachign staff at William & Mary.
Taylor is a fine shooting guard and an exemptional pickup for the staff at William & Mary because he should be able to make an immediate impact offensively when he attends their school in two years.
He proved that too this past weekend with his willingness to be aggressive offensively. Mokris is a deep range shooter and also has the skills to get his shot off the dribble.
He averaged 23 points a game last season and was selected first team all conference last year as a junior. He was also first team all state.
