A Look At Luis RosaClemente

Luis Clemente, a 6-8, 225 pound power/combination forward from Maine Central Institute in Pittsfield, Me., committed to Texas A&M back on September 20th. Since then, he has been working hard to polish his individual game to be ready for the Big 12 conference.
Best described as a finesse four man, Clemente is a native of Puerto Rico. Clemente can go out about 10-12 feet and drop in the jumper. He has a sweet touch for a big guy and is fundamentally sound.

Clemente is also very unselfish. This is the conclusion rivalshoops.com came too after watching him play four times this season. For the most part, Clemente looked to rotate the ball out to the perimeter as opposed to making his move inside.
Reporter Russ Blake has described him as an average athlete. However, Clemente's long arms make him a very dangerous factor on the offensive glass. Clemente is able to control tough loose balls with his wing span and good hands. He is tough to knock the ball out of his hands.
Clemente will need to strengthen his frame like most high school players. He is still in the process of adjusting to the American style of play -- a more physical brand of basketball as opposed to the international style of finasse.
Clemente may be a year away. But if given the opportunity and as he becomes more comfortable, he should be able to give some offensive production to Texas A&M along the frontline.
