A Look At Junior Ed Berrios

Some of the best things come in small packages. This can be said of Ed Berrios, a 5-11, 165 junior point guard from Roosevelt High School in the Bronx, New York.
Berrios has always impressed us here at rivalshoops.com for several reasons:

1. Berrios is a tough point man who has heart.
2. Berrios also has some decent skills. 3. Berrios is elusive with the ball, showing some effective hesitation moves and a quick first step. In addition, Berrios is very quick in the open floor, and runs offenses efficiently and with poise. Ed is quick to the hole and effectively creates off the dribble.
During the times, rivalshoops.com watched Berrios, he also demonstrated the ability to knock down the outside jumper consistently. If he is able to do this during the next six to nine months, he will have some scholarship offers on the table.
On the other end of the court, Berrios is a nuisance defensively, bringing a good deal of intensity to that side of the floor.
Berrios averaged 17.5 points, 8 assists, and 2.5 rebounds for Roosevelt last season. Berrios carries a 78 average in the classroom. He hopes to have a qualifying score by the summer.
The next six to nine months will determine who might recruit Berrios. We will keep an eye on it for you here at rivalshoops.com
