A Look At John Ofoegbu

John Ofoegbu, a 6-8, 207-pound forward from Taft High School in San Antonio, Texas, had a solid Three Stripe Classic tournament at Hofstra University last weekend for the Texas Blue Chips under head coach Mitch Malone.
Ofoegbu looked sharp because he rarely took bad shots and knew his best chance to score was when he took his frame inside. He scores most of his points inside and is very effective with his back to the basket.

Texas Blue Chips AAU head coach Mitch Malone says Baylor has an edge right now in the recruiting process. But there are other serious schools involved with this young man too. "John is also considering Houston and Boston College," Malone said. "But right now Baylor had the edge."
This would be an excellent get for Baylor if they were to land Ofoegbu, who works hard and bangs with big bodies inside. John does a lot of the grunt work for the Texas Blue Chips too.
Ofoegbu averaged 15 points and six rebounds per game last season at Taft High School.
