TEANECK, NEW JERSEY -- Chris Bosh, a talented 6-10, 202 pound power forward from Lincoln H.S. in Dallas, Tex., has established himself as one of the best frontline players available in the class of 2002. Bosh, currently showcasing his skils here at the ABCD camp, has drawn comparisons to former Maryland star, Joe Smith. "I am just trying to work as hard as I can," Bosh said. "I am looking to improve everything in my game. I am only focused on my summer."
It's easy to see that concentration. Bosh, a lefty with agile ability and aggressive offensive skills, has a great deal of confidence when he has the ball. There is never any hesitation in what he wants to do when in the paint. Bosh effectively uses his frame to shield defenders when receiving an entry pass in the low blocks.

It is because of this confidence that Bosh is considered one of the best players in the country. There are a couple of hundred teams that would love to recruit him. However, he has narrowed his list to four schools this summer.
Bosh told the Insiders Report that he plans to officially visit Georgia Tech in September, and he recently unofficially visited Florida for the first session of its team basketball camp.
Bosh is also considering Miami and Michigan, and he discussed possibly visiting both schools during the dead period in August. Bosh's traveling squad teammate with the Texas Blue Chips, Daniel Horton, has already committed to the Wolverine program.
As a junior at Lincoln, Bosh averaged 19 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks per game. He told the Insiders Report that he has an 86 average in the classroom but has yet to take the SAT or ACT.
Bosh has a full plate of events on tap this summer following the adidas ABCD Camp. He will attend the adidas Three Stripes Classic with Mitch Malone's Texas Blue Chips squad, as well as the adidas Big Time Tournament and the Double Pump Best of the Summer Tournament out West with the same club team.
We will continue to monitor Bosh's progress here on this site.
