A Look At Chris Adams

Perhaps the most impressive big man on a recent California JUCO swing was 6-10, 215 pound City College of San Francisco freshman center Chris Adams.
Adams was terrific in the second half of the Rams' 95-93 overtime victory over San Jose City College at the Jags' recent Holiday Basketball Classic. He scored 19 of his 21 points in the second half and overtime.

Adams has terrific touch around the basket, and keeps the ball up high away from smaller players. He can play with his back to the basket, and also showed the ability to knock down the short face-up jumper on a consistent basis.
A product of Mission H.S. in San Francisco, Adams will need to earn his associates degree before moving on to a four-year school. Based on his play so far this season, Adams is one of the top big men in the JUCO Class of 2003.
According to CCSF Head Coach Harry Pantazopulos, Adams was not recruited by many Division I programs out of high school and did not sign a letter of intent. If he continues his fine play the rest of the season, you can expect some pretty high level schools to get involved with Adams.
