A Look At Armando Surratt

FORT MYERS, FLORIDA -- Armando Surratt, A 5-11, 165-pound point guard from Oakland Tech in Oakland, California, was one of the more impressive players I watched last night here at the City of Palms tournament.
Surratt scored 18 points to help Leon Powe's 27 to lead his team to a first round tournament victory. Surratt showed good floor vision, is quick, and displayed excellent floor leadership.

Fans of Fresno State will be happy to know that they have a fine prospect. "I committed to Fresno State because I like their style of play," Surratt told us after he led his team to the victory.
"I like the way Fresno State plays. They stayed with my recruitment when other schools didn't. (This was a big positive in the recruiting process in getting Surratt)."
Surratt continued: "I love to run the break and penetrate (with the dribble). It was a reason why I chose Fresno State since they like to play that way."
