A leader has emerged for Montgomery

Jeremy Montgomery has a number of great options to consider when it comes to his future. However, one school in particular stands out to the 6-foot-1, 170-pound shooting guard from Lincoln Park High School in Chicago, Ill. Montgomery, a three-star prospect, recently received a call from the Florida Gators, and there is no question that they've emerged as the team to beat.
"Florida actually called me a couple of weeks ago," said Montgomery. "Bradley, Northwestern, Illinois and Clemson are also recruiting me pretty hard. No coaches' have been by my school lately, but I am looking forward to taking some visits in the future.

"Florida is my favorite right now," he added. "The Gators are at the top of my list and they're a school that I really like. I love the way Florida runs the floor and how the coaching staff lets their guards shoot the basketball."
Montgomery is still waiting for his first scholarship offer, but it's only a matter of time before that takes place.
Also, Montgomery his hoping that Florida and the other schools on his list take the time to drop by Lincoln Park High School this year to watch him in action.
According to Montgomery, he's already played in three games and he is playing quite well at this time.
"We've already had a couple of games this year," he said. "We are 1-2 on the year and I've played pretty good so far. I play the point guard and shooting guard positions, but I really prefer to play the shooting guard position.
"I don't remember all of my stats from the first couple of games, but I do know that I scored 17-points in one game," he added. "I doesn't matter if I am scoring or dishing out assists, I just want to help my teammates win games and help them get involved as much as I can."
