A.J. Ratliff, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound shooting guard from North Central High School in Indianapolis, IN., has given a commitment to Mike Davis and the Indiana Hoosiers. Along with Ratliff, Indiana has already received commitments from Josh Smith, D.J. White, Robert Vaden and James Hardy.

“The more I thought about it, the more I just felt this was the best place for me to play,” Ratliff told the Indianapolis Star. “Indiana has a great class and I just wanted to be a part of it. It's close to home and it's Indiana basketball. I have a great relationship with Coach Davis and I've always known in my heart that Indiana was the place for me.”
Ratliff and Coach Davis had a meeting several weeks ago in Bloomington and, from that point on, it was obvious that Ratliff, barring some type of last minute change of heart, would be playing for the hometown Hoosiers.
Rivals.com ranks Ratliff No. 64 on the Rivals150 list and the 14th best shooting guard in the class of 2004.
