A.J. Price Has Makings Of A Top PG
In leading his Amityville team to the New York Class "B" state semifinals and a shot at the program's fourth straight state title, A.J. Price, the 6'1'' 165 pound point guard out of the class of 2004, showed why he has the tools to be great at the next level.

Price scored 20 points in Amityville's 50-47 win over West Hempstead, showed great quickness and vision. Price is adept at darting through the lane and finding the open man. He wields a quick first step as well as a quick release on his jumper. He is comfortable shooting off the dribble. AJ sees the floor well, and can hurt you with his scoring tools or his passing ability.
"AJ can make plays when we need him to make plays," said Amityville coach Jack Agostino. "He can defend; he is a very complete player."
Price has fielded serious interest from a wide variety of high major programs, among them Georgia Tech, Villanova, Connecticut, St. John's, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Ohio State, North Carolina, Ilinois, and Kentucky. Many of these programs have come in to evaluate AJ this winter.
Price will likely attend the ABCD camp this summer. He does not know whether or not he will play with The Riverside Church or another program on the AAU circuit.
