A change of plans for Bay

Kalvin Bay was looking forward to taking an official visit to Southern California, but it appears that visit will no longer take place. Bay, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound point guard from Tempe, Ariz., is no longer an option for the Trojans, as they have received a commitment from another player.
"No, Kalvin is no longer taking his official visit to Southern California," said Marcos de Niza head coach Dave Stark. "He was so pumped and excited about the visit, but the coaching staff called and said that they had received a commitment from another player."

Despite the fact that Southern California is no longer an option for Bay, the three-star prospect, he still has several high-major schools interested in his services. As it stands right now, Bay is receiving interest from the likes of Iowa, New Mexico, Wyoming, CS Northridge, Montana, Tennessee-Martin, Arkansas St., Furman, Richmond, Tulsa, Wichita State and UC Riverside.
Bay has already taken an official visit to CS Northridge. In addition, it appears that visits to Iowa and New Mexico could take place in the future.
"I know that the New Mexico coaching staff was in a couple of weeks ago to watch Kalvin workout," said Stark. "They plan to monitor him throughout the year. He could take a visit to New Mexico, but a lot of that depends on their situation at the point guard position.
"Iowa is another school that has talked about brining Kalvin in for a visit, but I don't believe that anything has been scheduled yet," he added. "Richmond and UC Riverside are two schools that have been showing a lot of interest in Kalvin lately. I do know that no other visits have been planned at this time."
