8 On List For Talented Forward

This past weekend at the Southern Invitational on the campus of Virginia, RivalsHoops.com had a chance to watch Sheray Thomas, a 6-8, 220-pound forward from Riverdale Baptist in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, showcase his skills for the DC Blue Devils.
Thomas performed well. He showed he has a nice medium range game and a soft touch. Many colleges are trying to decide where Thomas would fit on the court.

Thomas is being recruited at a high level. Thomas told us: "I am interested in Maryland, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Charlotte, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Richmond, and Connecticut," Thomas said. "I am open. I won't do anything until after the summer."
Thomas showed he has some offensive skills that could allow him to be a combo forward on the college level. If his perimeter games extends even further out near the three-point line, he could play the three slot.
His game reminds RivalsHoops.com a little bit of Maryland recruit Travis Garrison. But Travis has a more extended range on his perimeter game at this stage.
