6-10 Brimley Nice Pick-Up For The Dukes

Ryan Brimley, a 6'10'' 255 pound lefty from Northfield Mount Hermon in Northfield, Massachusetts, is a nice find for James Madison.
The barrell-chested big forward had previosly committed to the Colonial Conference program after weighing scholarship offers from Niagara, High Point, George Mason, and Virginia Commonwealth. He had taken trips to James Madison and High Point.

"(James Madison) is a good school, academically and socially," said Brimley. "It's a good program, and all of their big guys will be graduating this year."
Brimley looks like he has the tools to contribute for Sherman Dillard's club next season. Ryan was bullish on the glass in Northfield's 78-77 loss to The Lawrenceville School, dominating the boards for stretches. Brimley isn't overly athletic or quick, but he is a broad-shouldered post player with a beefy frame that should yield more muscle. The left-hander is comfortable knocking down the mid-range jumper. Brimley chipped in 12 points and double-digit rebounds versus Lawrenceville.
Brimley, a native of Auburn, New York, near Syracuse, played this summer with The Middlesex Magic. He is a quality pick-up for James Madison, a player who might have been recruitable in the Atlantic 10.
The well-spoken Brimley is fully qualified.
