If it all comes together, four-star sophomore Da'Ron Holmes Jr. could be one of the next big things out of the Phoenix area.

A 6-foot-8 forward at Goodyear (Ariz.) Millenium, there's a lot to like about Holmes as a prospect.

He runs the floor very well, he's got a great body to grow into and he already shows promise as a shooter who can stretch the floor.

"I feel like I have a lot of athleticism and I'm getting my shot in check," Holmes told RIvals.com. "I can dribble the ball like a guard and I feel like that really changes who I am as a prospect.

"I'm trying to model my game after guys like Shaun Livingston, Giannis Antetokounmpo and all of those players who can bring the ball up and also play big."

So far this season, Holmes said that programs like UCLA, Arizona State, California and Grand Canyon have been in to see him. All but UCLA from that group have offered scholarships and so have New Mexico and Ole Miss.

Holmes has been a visitor to Arizona State and GCU and liked the reception he got on each campus.

"Arizona State, they treat me like family so I really like that and I appreciate it. Everybody treats me really well and I like going to their games," said Holmes. "I've been to Grand Canyon and they treat me like family as well."

Holmes, who was born in Kansas and also lived in Tennessee before making his way to the Phoenix area, is just getting started with the recruiting process.

"I'm looking for where I fit the best," said Holmes. "Somewhere I can have the biggest impact."
