It's been a big spring for class of 2018 small forward Timmy Allen, who has improved his play and seen his recruitment take off.

A small forward with length and physical toughness, Allen has been terrific on the adidas Gauntlet circuit, averaging over 14 points and five rebounds per contest while making a case for the next Rivals150.

"It's probably been my progression with my jump shot," said Allen about where he's improved the most. "Last year that was my weak point. I was mainly a transition type bucket-getter, so I'm trying to work on my halfcourt game, shooting and stuff like that.

"I've been going real hard lifting and running a lot to get in shape. That helps me in the transition game. I'm jumping higher. I'm also trying to keep an edge out there."

Allen has offers from programs all across the board. He discussed his most recent offers from California and Utah plus an offer from UCLA that came a bit ago.

UCLA - "I actually got the UCLA offer last year. That was a good one that I really wanted and guys from the Magic have done well there."

California - "Coach Wyking Jones has made a good impression. I've talked to him a couple of times and he's been down to my school a couple of times. I like him a lot."

Utah - "They talk about player development and that could be a good fit for me. I just need to look at everything that they and any other school are talking about."

Others who have offered include Creighton, Nebraska, Grand Canyon, Fresno State and San Diego State. Allen says that the next step is to get his lit cut down to some finalists in the near future and then he'll go from there.

"I'd like to get it down to four or five hopefully," said Allen. "It's to be determined when I'll go ahead and make a decision."
