Sleeper commits to Indiana
About a week ago, Kevon Looney wrapped up his final official visit to UCLA. Later on this week, he'll make his choice.
Reached on Monday afternoon, the 6-foot-9 forward at Milwaukee (Wisc.) Hamilton confirmed that he will be announcing his decision on Halloween.
According to Looney, he will hold a press conference at his school at 11am where he will choose either the Bruins, Duke, Florida, Michigan State, Tennessee or Wisconsin.
The No. 13 player in the class of 2013, Looney is a versatile forward who can play on the block or use his shooting ability to stretch the floor. An intelligent player, Looney is also a fine passer and a very good rebounder and straight up shot blocker.
Throughout his recruitment, the Milwaukee product has been very careful to not reveal a leader. All of his final six but Wisconsin (who he has seen unofficially) received official visits but little information has leaked out after any of his visits.
Heading into his announcement the programs that have been getting the most buzz are the Volunteers, Blue Devils and Gators but there doesn't appear to be a clear favorite as he nears his decision.
