2012 Lewis to Pac-10

Promising 2012 prospect Larry Lewis opted for the Pac-10 before his recruitment ever really got going.
After an unofficial visit to USC, Lewis, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound shooting guard, gave a verbal commitment to Coach Kevin O'Neil.

"Larry had a great visit with USC," said Lewis' travel team coach Jeff de Laveaga of the Arizona Magic Pump & Run. "Coach O'Neil and (Assistant) Coach Cantu did a great job recruiting Larry. Oregon State was the first to contact him, and Arizona and Arizona State loved him. Larry just wanted to be in LA and by the beach. He loved the campus and it is a great deal to get a 54,000 dollar education paid for."
A big time athlete, Lewis is known for his scoring ability.
"Larry is a flat out scorer," said de Laveaga. "He can score on fade aways, he uses his body and he can get to the rim at will. He also is a strong defender as long as he doesn't rest on that end. For the next level, he does need to improve his ball handling in order to play the point."
Young for his grade and with size 16 feet, Lewis is expected to continue growing.
