2007 Reed talks about recruitment

Jon Reed is still in the beginning stages of his recruitment, but a number of schools are starting to make a push for the 6-foot-7, 200-pound shooting guard from Peninsula High School in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. Reed has already taken two unofficial visits and is looking forward to taking some official visits when that time comes.
"Right now, I am mainly hearing from Southern California, UCLA, Miami-FL, Pepperdine, New Mexico and California," said Reed. "I have started to hear from Stanford a little, but I don't really know how interested they are right now."

With his season set to start on November 29, Reed indicated that he does not plan to spend much time thinking about his recruitment. The 6-foot-7, 200-pound shooting guard has already taken two unofficial visits, and plans to take some official visits in the future.
However, it doesn't appear that he will spend too much time focusing on his recruitment during the season.
"I took an unofficial visit to Southern California and to Pepperdine," said Reed. "I really had a great time on both visits. "Southern California is the only school to offer me a scholarship, so I really like them a lot. I like the campus at USC and enjoyed everything about the school.
"I do plan to take some official visits, but I don't know when I will do that," he added, "We just started practice a couple of days ago and have a game on November 29. I am looking forward to the season and cannot wait for the first game."
