2006 White headed to prep school

Heath White, the 6-foot-2, 170-pound shooting guard from Taft High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, has decided to attend prep school next year. While the three-star prospect has not made a decision about what school to attend, White will decided between two big time prep schools within the next week.
"Heath has decided to attend prep school," said Taft head coach Mark Mitchell. "He has not made a decision about what school to attend, but it will be either Bridgeton or The Patterson School. Heath made this decision towards the latter part of the year.

"Heath should have a decision made about what school to attend in the next week," he added. "Both schools have been in contact with Heath, so he just needs to make the best decision for himself."
Now that White, a three-star prospect, has made the decision to attend prep school, he can better prepare himself for the future. There is no doubt that he hopes to play college basketball at the high major level, so being prepared academically will be just as important as being prepared to play at such a high level.
According to Mitchell, a number of high-major programs have expressed a sincere interest in White.
"Now that Heath is going to reclassify to the class of 2007, a lot of schools are going to become involved in his recruitment," said Mitchell. "Louisville, Indiana, Pittsburgh, Connecticut, Seton Hall and Xavier are just some of the schools that are interested in Heath.
"All of the schools love him as a 2007 recruit," he added. "Heath will be better prepared academically and will have better organizational skills now that he has decided to attend prep school. His attention to detail will also be much improved."
