2006 Webster Lists Five Offers

2006 power forward prospect Bryce Webster of St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, Minnesota picked up an offer from Minnesota at the beginning of his sophomore year, and the offers have continued to come in. Webster, 6-foot-9, 238-pounds, named five schools at the Kingwood, talked about the two he liked best, and named a sixth he would love to hear from.
“My top schools are Minnesota, Wisconsin, Marquette, Boston College, and Florida,” said Webster. “Minnesota offered me at the beginning of my sophomore year, and the other four have also offered.”

When asked if he had any favorites out of the bunch, Webster began with Marquette.
“Marquette, I really like Coach Crean,” he said. “I like his aura and energy.”
“Minnesota is also a favorite. They are instate, and it just makes sense work wise and for my future after basketball.”
There is one school in particular that Webster would like to add to his list.
“I haven’t heard from Stanford, but I like them a lot,” he said.
Webster is a large presence on the court who has a good feel for the game as a young big man. Right now he is best around the basket and can score with his back to the basket. He looks to be the type of athlete who can extend his game farther from the basket. Although Webster has the size and smarts to get to the ball and make plays, he does not always have the foot speed and quickness to make the play.
“I’m not in the typ of shape I want to be in,” he said. “I am working hard lifting and improving my footwork in the mid and low post.”
