2006 Walker Raking in Offers

Both speedy and heady, 5-foot-11, 160-pound point guard Will Walker out of Bolingbrook (Ill.) High School is already picking up some high major offers. The No. 91 ranked player in the class of 2006 has five offers to be exact and is receiving interest from a host of big time programs.
“Will now has offers from Baylor, DePaul, Marquette, Michigan State, and Northwestern,” said his AAU coach Dan Cunningham of the Illinois Wolves. “He’s also being recruited by just about everyone, including UNC, Duke, Arizona, Kansas, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Florida, Kentucky, Louisville, Illinois, California, and several others I’m sure I’m leaving out.”

Surprisingly explosive for his size, Walker can both run a team and put up points as an all around scoring threat.
“Will Walker is blowing up recruiting wise,” said Coach Cunningham. “From where I sit, he’s one of the top two or three point guards in the country. As a rational person, I understand that my opinion of Will is higher than most because I get to coach him, but I still haven’t seen four point guards that I’d put in his class.”
Walker averaged 22 points per game as a sophomore last season.
