2006 prospect Josue Soto caught the eyes of the RivalsHoops.com staff at last summer’s Nike Camp, and he has only gotten better. Specializing in the floater the 6-foot, 155-pound point guard for the Miami Tropics can score points with the best of them. At this point, Soto is listing five top high major programs and one of them has made a scholarship offer.
“My top schools are North Carolina, Duke, Georgia Tech, Kansas, and Florida,” said Soto, who played this past season in Puerto Rico. “North Carolina has offered, and I am very excited about that.”
Soto, who will be playing next year for Arlington Country Day High School in Jacksonville, Florida with Tropics teammates David Huertas, Jason Bennett, and Sammy Hernandez, can make every shot in the book especially when going right. His floater off the glass is virtually unstoppable.
Soto’s size is a concern, but his skill level and savvy make him a top high major prospect. Look for him to crack the update Rivals.com rankings for the class of 2006.
