2006 Point Guard Likes Four in the ACC

The No. 37 player in the Rivals50 for the class of 2006, Tywon Lawson, is having a nice year for Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Maryland. The 6-foot, 165-pound point guard talked to RivalsHoops.com about his top four schools.
“It’s real early, but right now I’d have to say that the schools I’m most interested in are North Carolina, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest,” said Lawson.

Lawson had these comments on his four top schools.
On Florida State: “I like their style of play. They get up and down the floor. FSU seems like their a program on the rise and should be a major contender by the time I reach college.”
On North Carolina: “I like Roy Williams’ style of offence and defense and the way they get after it. They have great fans and support for the team.”
On Wake Forest: “They’re in the ACC. Their coach has done a good job. Chris Paul is a good guard. I like the way he plays and hope to be as good as him one day.”
On Georgia Tech: “I’ve always been a Georgia Tech fan. They are having a good season and Coach Hewitt seems like he will have them competitive for a long time.”
Lawson, who is averaging 19 points and 7 assists per game this year, is working hard to become an ACC impact point guard. He had this assessment of his game.
“I’d have to say that my greatest strengths are beating someone off the dribble, creating shots for my teammates as well as myself. I think I can score as well as run the team. I also try to play great on the ball defense.”
"I do need to get stronger and continue to get quicker. I'm going to work on my entire game."
