“The start of our basketball season has kind of got off to a rough start,” Odufuwa said. “We’re 6-4 right now and really struggling as a team. There is still plenty of time to turn our season around, and I think we will do that.”
The fact that Kimball High School is off to a slow start hasn’t stopped some of the nations most elite college basketball coaches’ from stopping by to get a closer look at the No. 19 ranked power forward in the class of 2006.
Odufuwa is currently receiving interest from the likes of Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona State, Arkansas, Oregon, Wake Forest, SMU and a few others. However, the 6-foot-8 combo forward indicated that three schools have emerged as the teams to beat in his recruitment.
“Coaches’ from Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona State, Kansas, Arkansas, Wake Forest and SMU have already been down to watch me play this year,” Odufuwa said. “I have received scholarship offers from Arizona State, Oklahoma, SMU and Oregon.
“Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma are the leaders right now,” he added. “Those are the three schools that I really like at this time. I do plan to take all five official visits when that time comes, but I don’t really know what schools I will visit. I would say that there is a pretty good chance that Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma receive official visits.”
