2006 Carter Developing

Mitchell Carter, the No. 13 player in the Rivals50 for the class of 2006, is a player with “upside” written all over him. Despite the fact that the 6-foot-11, 250-pound center is seeing limited action for nationally ranked Rufus King High School in Milwaukee, Coach Jim Gosz is very happy with his big man’s development.
“He has an excellent body,” said Coach Gosz about Carter, who is listing Duke, Marquette, North Carolina, and Notre Dame as his top four schools. “He is coming along fine. The game is all new to him. If you had seen him two years ago, you wouldn’t believe his improvement.”

“He is a hard worker on the court and in the weight room. He will be a national recruit when it is all said and done.”
RivalsHoops.com saw Carter in action during The Beach Ball Classic. The big man has a soft touch but needs to develop his upper body and improve his agility.
