2005 Tarver drawing Pac-10 interest

The No. 90 ranked player in the class of 2006 Seth Tarver will not necessarily follow his brother Josh Tarver to Oregon State. Seth Tarver, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard from Jesuit High School in Portland, Ore., is playing his recruitment close to the vest, but he did mention three Pac-10 schools that are tracking him closely.
"Right now I'm wide open," said Tarver. "I am just trying to focus on my high school season.

"Arizona is the only school to offer me, and Washington and Oregon State have been to see me play. Other schools were watching me at the Les Schwab [Invitational], but I'm not sure which ones."
Skilled as a ball handler, passer and finisher on the move, Tarver also has the ability to lock down any of the perimeter positions on defense.
"I've been playing good defense, passing the ball well and doing well in the transition game," said Tarver when critiquing his game. "I need to work on being more aggressive and being stronger going to the cup. I also need to be a more consistent shooter."
Tarver is averaging 17 points and 9 rebounds per game for his 11-1 team.
In the classroom he has a 3.1 GPA and will take the SAT for the first time this Saturday.
