2005 Californian with Four Offers

2005 prospect Jerry-Davon Jefferson has nowhere to go but up according to Mike Acheanpong, his coach at Lynwood (CA) High School. Presently, the 6-foot-8 small forward has a good thing going with four offers from the PAC 10.
“The sky is the limit for this kid,” said Coach Acheanpong. “He’s being recruited by all of the Pac-10, except UCLA, Louisville, Connecticut, Minnesota, Clemson, and Florida State. USC, Washington, Oregon State, and Arizona State have all offered.”

Along with the offers from the four Pac-10 schools, a couple programs much farther east have made it out to California to watch Jefferson play.
“Connecticut and Louisville have been out here to see him play,” said Coach Acheanpong.
Coach Acheanpong has this description of Jefferson, who is averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks for his 21-6 team.
“He’s really tough to guard. He can take a smaller guy on the block and move a bigger guy out to the perimeter and go by him. He’s a tremendous competitor. He’s always looking to get better. He has good range. From 19 feet and in, he is money. He also is a tremendous defender.”
