2004 Target: Keving Palacios

Keving Palacios, a skilled 6-7, 220 pound sophomore forward from St. Benedict's Prep in Newark, N.J., sat out at the recent Lehigh Valley Hoop Festival in Orefield, Penn.
St. Benedict's Head Coach Danny Hurley said that Palacios had some fluid on his knee, and is expected to be out 7-10 days. Hurley added that Palacios would need to have the fluid drained before he could return to action.

A native of Venezuela, Palacios is a fine shooter who appears to be more comfortable playing out on the wing. He will need to get stronger and tougher to get more done inside, as he struggled to finish at times around the basket when we've seen St. Benedict's play.
Palacios was recently ranked by our sister site, NJ Hoops, as the top sophomore in the Garden State.
Coach Hurley said that Palacios will play with Jimmy Salmon's T5T Playaz program this spring and summer, so we expect to see him quite a bit over the coming months once he overcomes his injury.
